Welcome
My name is Sándor, and this is the home of my art, my creativity and my experiments. Take a look around in my imagination, where "shapes happen". Perhaps a surprise awaits.
Generative Art
Due to my career, coding's a massive part of my world and it definitely bleeds into my creative work. I love the whole dance of it, set up a few straightforward rules, step back, and watch the system do its thing until it finds that perfect equilibrium.
Geometric Patterns
I've always been drawn to geometric patterns, repetition, and tessellations. There's something about staring into them that feels like entering a completely different world. The more intricate the pattern, the easier it is to get lost in it, until everything around me fades away.
Halftones
Converting images to multi-layered halftones and plotting them with a pen plotter creates a beautiful blend of digital and physical art. The process breaks down the source into patterns of dots at different sizes and densities, with each layer representing different shades and tones. As the plotter carefully draws these layers onto paper, it builds up depth and dimension through overlapping marks.
Shadowbox
One of the reasons I started playing with plotters and laser cutters to be able to make mesmerising shadowboxes. There is something captivating in how the different layers can create a rich scenery from simple shapes.
